March of Dimes March for Babies 2011
Summer Infant has been a proud supporter of the March of Dimes since 2006! In April 2011 we were thrilled to announce that we are now a National Sponsor of the March of Dimes. Not only are we proud of this increased support, but we are also honored to have our President and CEO, Jason Macari, named as the Rhode Island Chapter’s 2011 Citizen of the Year!
The March of Dimes is the leading non-profit for pregnancy and baby health – and with good reason. They work tirelessly at making the five tenants of their organization successful year-after-year. These include: parent education, preventing premature birth, researching and funding genetic research, adequate health care and insurance for pregnant women and their families, and overall fundraising efforts.
The March of Dimes mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. They carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives.
