The 3-in-1 Family Thermometer from Summer Infant comes with a corded thermometer base much like the one a physician would use.  Three adaptable probes are included for oral, rectal and underarm use; thereby hygienically allowing you to use one thermometer for all three purposes.  This thermometer delivers fast and accurate readings, beeps when the reading is complete and will glow red if the temperature registers at 99.9 degrees Fahrenheit or higher – indicating a fever is present.  The Fever Alert® feature makes it easier to get a quick visual reading, especially when taking a child’s temperature at night.  Thermometer also knows exactly which probe is in use and calibrates the readout accordingly (typically rectal readings are a degree higher than oral, and underarm readings are a degree lower).
