I’m fairly new to Summer Infant as the Digital Media Manager (started in July of 2010) and to my favorite job of all, as a dad to Lil’ E (became a dad in July of 2009). I’ve been an active blogger since 2004 and bring a unique style and humor to the posts, which I hope you’ll find entertaining. I enjoy the art of storytelling, creative animation and video and being the best husband and dad I can be.
How do you like to take a "time out?"
Usually after Lil’ E goes to bed, I’ll grab a beer and catch up on Facebook & Twitter…I did mention that I’m an online geek right?
What three words come to mind when you think about your family?
My whole world
What blogs/websites do you read every day?
As the Digital Media Manager I’m on Facebook, Twitter & YouTube every day. Outside of social media sites I enjoy reading a couple of dad blogs and online marketing blogs.
If there were an "adult beverage" created for you what would it be called?
I’m a huge fan of trying different and exotic craft beers. So I guess if it was created for me it would have all the taste, aroma and body without expanding my waistline.
What piece of sound advice would you like to give to moms and dads out there?
You can’t do it all, you can’t know it all and remember to keep a sense of humor about things…life is too short and your kids grow up too fast.
What is the funniest thing that ever happened to you?
In general that would be when I was headed to a restaurant for dinner and was caught in a torrential downpour and started running down the street as fast as I could to get out of the rain. Suddenly I came to a screaming halt and folded myself in half at full speed when I hit a parking meter pipe I didn’t see because my glasses were covered with rain.
As a dad it would be when using a car seat that locks into a stroller, I just couldn’t figure out why the car seat didn’t fit quite right into the stroller. That is until I saw another dad who seemed to it all together leaving the store with a toddler in tow and an infant in the same stroller and car seat…and his car seat was facing the OPPOSITE direction. Realizing my error I immediately picked up the car seat and flipped it around and there was a sound click of the seat locking in place. He gave me a nod and a smile…obviously a pro that could still empathize with the learning curve of being a rookie dad.
What is your favorite joke?
Did you hear about the new pirate movie? Its rated AAARRRR!
